The 6 boxes shipped arrive late and was distributed to these mentioned towns.

2020 outreach programs;

• January 2, Helping the victims of typhoon Ursula in Biliran, Leyte.

• January 8 the balikbayan distribution to the kids in Oslob Cebu. 2020

• December 6 balikbayan boxes sent to Help the typhoon and Covid 19 victims in 6 different provinces in the Philippines namely Laguna, Davao, La Union, Negros Or, Zamboanga and Mindoro.

2020 fundraising by solicitation. With the help of our Swish account we managed to help these 6 affected provinces by providing basic necessities like food, milk and rice to the victims affected by typhoons and Covid 19.

2014 September 6 PISTA SA NAYON   

Pista sa Nayon is a Filipino tradition where Filipinos celebrat a good harvest. Here in Sweden, Filipinos celebrate Pista sa Nayon through food festivals and in honor to our Blessed Virgin Mary. FILSOM joined the celebration at Motettens Folketshus by selling different kinds of Filipino dishes and desserts to raise funds.

2014 Sending Balikbayan Boxes to Quezon City and Negros Occ.

The box contained used clothing and toys sent by members to Philippines. FILSOM's second project is sending balikbayan boxes to the needy children in Payatas, Manila (Payatas is a barangay located in the 2nd district of Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines) and in remote areas in Negros Occidental. Balikbayan boxes contain  children's clothes, toys, shoes and much more. See galleri for pictures.

2014 Our First Christmas Party

In celebration of our saviour Jesus Christ's birth, FILSOM celebrated  christmas party last December 2014. The party went well. In behalf of FILSOM members and officers, we are grateful for those who participate and spend their time.
