in Malmö
FilSom is a registered charitable group organized by Filipino mothers living in Malmö and other cities in Skåne region. The mission is to help children and families that are affected by natural disasters in different parts of the Philippines.
We donate school materials, bags, slippers and food. We also send some used clothing, toys and shoes. We, the members, are mostly Filipina mothers who want to return the blessings by helping other children in need in the Philippines.
Our Story
Filsom was created after the devastation of Bohol earthquake and the typhoon Yolanda in the summer of 2013. Filipino friends and mothers responded by sending used clothes, shoes, toys and financial support for basic commodities, bottled water and medicines.
And through fundraising activities the group continues to help the poor Filipinos in need.
